TEA Tuesday: Some illustrations

Hey all,

In the last week, some of the illustrations I've commissioned from Logan and Charles have come in and they are looking great! So this week I want to share some of these pieces with you.

The Spirit Roads, by Charles Ferguson-Avery

This illustration shows part of the Spirit Roads, a region with a strong connection to the Realm Beyond and is littered with pilgrim sites like this floating monastery.

The Spore Wilds, by Charles Ferguson-Avery

The region of the Spore Wilds is a vast savannah of mushroom shrubs and is home to the strongholds of House Uvri and the Order of Ilsaar.

Bonespore bloom, by Logan Stahl

The Spore Wilds was ground zero for the deadly bonespore outbreak. While the world at large has mostly recovered thanks to the work of the Order of Ilsaar, the spores still ravage some parts of the Wilds.

Ink-powered Golem, by Logan Stahl

Even though the Great City of Maldrazagar was destroyed during the eruption of the Embermount, some of the ink-powered constructs created by its artificers still roam the volcanic Ruinlands.

I hope you enjoyed this peek at the art that will be part of the first Electrum Archive issue :)

For the next two weeks, I will take a break from posting these updates since I will be taking a trip to Berlin and taking some time to relax and refuel.

Cheers!

Emiel

This artwork is incredible. I would love to know how Charles does the textures on the black and white. The top image is so intense on a screen its practically trippy - which is cool on its own and THEN insanely thematic as you realise you are partly gazing into the trans-realm void or whatever. Super cool.

I believe it's some kind of halftone brush! I used a similar one for the Electrum Sea illustration that's in the project banner :)

In PS? I'm mostly using Krita currently. Definitely going to practice emulating some of your art for practice

Yes! I'm using this brush pack: https://www.truegrittexturesupply.com/collections/beat-tones
